Non-Alcoholic Fall Hugo Spritz (Sparkling Apple Mocktail)

I wanted to do a fall twist on a Hugo Spritz mocktail, and I thought that tart apple would pair perfectly with mint and elderflower. I was right. This mocktail turned out SO good! It’s super bright and fresh. This recipe would work really well as a Thanksgiving mocktail.

I chose Granny Smith apples because I wanted a tart apple for this Hugo spritz mocktail recipe. I think Honeycrisp apples would also work well. This drink takes minutes to make, so pop it onto your to-do list.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Fresh Mint: You’ll need a sprig of fresh mint for the recipe plus more to garnish with.
  • Granny Smith Apple: I recommend a granny smith or any other tart apple for this apple mocktail.
  • Elderflower cordial or syrup: This elderflower cordial from Belvoir has the most perfect, delicate floral taste.
  • Non-alcoholic prosecco: I used Mionetto alcohol-free prosecco for this recipe.
  • Club soda: This premium club soda from Q Mixers is the perfect mixer for this spritz.
  • Cinnamon stick: For garnish.

How to Make It

  • Start by slicing your apple.
  • Then, pop some mint leaves and apple slices into a stemless wine glass. Gently muddle the two together. Muddle enough to release juices from the apple but not enough to break the mint down.
  • Next, add ice to a glass. Pour in the elderflower cordial, the club soda, and non-alcoholic prosecco and give it a stir.
  • Top with apple, some extra mint, and a cinnamon stick.
