Recipe Ingredients

See the recipe card for quantities.

  • Pear Vodka: There are several pear vodka options available. Vodka is the main ingredient in a martini, so, I chose Grey Goose La Poire, it is a higher quality vodka.
  • Elderflower Liqueur: Again, there are many options out there but I decided to use one of my go-tos St. Germain.
  • Lemon juice: Always use fresh-squeezed lemon juice. Look for bright yellow and firm lemons at the store.
  • Pear slice: Use for garnish as desired.
  • Fresh thyme: Use for garnish as desired.

  • Store your vodka in the freezer for a crisp martini.
  • Use a chilled martini glass.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add simple syrup to a Pear Martini for added sweetness?

Yes! If you have a bit of a sweet tooth, you can start by adding 1/4 ounces of simple syrup per serving and adjust to taste.

Can I make a batch of Pear Martinis?

Yes! Add all the ingredients to a pitcher and keep in the fridge. Shake with ice before pouring or add cold water to taste to dilute similarly to how ice would.

What is the best pear vodka for martinis?

I have tried a lot of vodkas, pear vodkas, and added pear puree to vodka. For a smooth and clean pear vodka, I recommend using Grey Goose La Poire.
