Passion Fruit Swizzle Mocktail (With Hibiscus Tea)
Zesty, sharp, and bright, my Passion Fruit Swizzle Mocktail is the prettiest sip! It comes together in minutes, all in the glass.

This hibiscus mocktail is such a fun mocktail to make and turns out SO pretty. I was inspired by the eye-catching presentation of a Queens Park Swizzle, which is a rum cocktail in the swizzle family! The combo of mint, hibiscus, and passion fruit is bright and refreshing. Swizzling is a fun drink preparation and doesn’t require shaking.
I’m pregnant so I’ve been experimenting with more mocktails lately and I’ve been loving drinks like the Tangerine Tropical Punch Mocktail and this Passion Fruit Mojito Mocktail. Sour things have been a serious craving this pregnancy, and this pregnancy-friendly swizzle mocktail is perfectly tart!
Recipe Ingredients
- Fresh mint leaves: You’ll use some in the mocktail and more for garnish.
- Honey syrup: Combine 1 part pure honey with 1 part warm water.
- Hibiscus tea: This vibrant, ruby-red tea brings tart from Traditional Medicinals and has a floral taste that is delicious with passion fruit and lime. Allow it to chill before using.
- Lime juice: Freshly squeezed is best!
- Passion fruit: You’ll need the juice & pulp. If you don’t have fresh passion fruit, substitute with passionfruit juice. Pineapple juice would be a great substitution for this drink.
- Edible flowers: For garnish. Check out the range at Gourmet Sweet Botanicals for the prettiest edible floral garnishes.
- Powdered sugar: A light dusting of powdered sugar is a soft and dreamy finish.

How to Make It
- In a highball glass, combine mint leaves and honey syrup. Press with a muddler to release the mint’s essential oils, careful not to tear the leaves.
- Pour in the hibiscus tea and lime juice, then fill the glass nearly to the top with crushed ice. Roll a swizzle stick or bar spoon between your palms to mix the ingredients and chill the glass.
- Top with more crushed ice, then pour the passion fruit juice and pulp, letting the seeds float.
- Garnish with fresh mint and an edible flower, then lightly dust with powdered sugar.

How to Swizzle a Cocktail or Mocktail
Add drink ingredients to a tall glass and fill about 3/4 way full with crushed ice. Pop a swizzle stick or a long bar spoon into the drink, reaching the bottom of the glass. Hold the swizzle stick between your palms and quickly roll it back and forth, going up and down in the drink until the outside of the glass is chilled.
Why do we swizzle?
Swizzling distributes ingredients evenly throughout the drink without over-diluting it. It also chills the glass from the inside out!

Sipping Tips & FAQs
Adjust the sweetness
If you prefer a sweeter mocktail, add more honey syrup or use passion fruit juice with no added tartness. For a tangier drink, increase the lime juice slightly.
Use freshly brewed hibiscus tea
Brew and chill hibiscus tea ahead of time for the best flavor. If you’re short on time, you can flash-chill it by shaking it with ice and straining it.
Can I use a different sweetener instead of honey syrup?
Yes! Agave, simple, or even maple syrup can be used instead. Of course, each will slightly change the flavor.
What’s the best type of ice to use?
Crushed ice works best, as it chills the drink quickly.
Can I batch-make this passionfruit mocktail?
Yes! To make a larger batch, multiply the ingredients by the number of servings you need.
Make Ahead and Storage Notes
You can mix the hibiscus tea, lime juice, and passion fruit juice ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
