Green Tea Gimlet

This Green Tea Gimlet recipe post was made in partnership with Cocalero. Recipe and ideas are my own.

One of the most fun things about making cocktails is exploring all the different types of spirits out there and pairing them with amazing flavors to create a tasty and well-balanced drink. I recently did this with one of my favorite spirits, Cocalero, and it was a huge success! Cocalero has notes of orange, ginger, and lavender, but the one that stood out most to me was green tea. As soon as this flavor hit me, I knew I had to make a drink to go with it.

To achieve the green tea flavor in this drink, I used a green tea infused gin rather than adding tea itself. This allowed for more support of the green tea note in the Cocalero rather than overpowering it. Since those two ingredients already pack a punch, I kept the rest of the drink simple by incorporating lime juice for some tartness, a little bit of honey to sweeten, and fresh mint to brighten up the drink.
