Jump to RecipeBeing the pickle lover that I am, I can’t believe it took me this long to mix up a pickle cocktail! This marg is the perfect blend of sweet and salty, combining unique ingredients like Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila, dill pickle juice, triple sec, lime juice, and a few others creating a delicious spicy cocktail that everyone will love. Seriously! This recipe is husband-approved by Travis who is a known hater of pickles, so you know it’s really good. We’ll be mixing them up for the big football games this weekend too!
Did you know it’s National Spicy Margarita Day on January 26? The Spicy Pickle Margarita is the perfect cocktail to indulge in the celebration.
And even better, for every photo hashtagged with #NationalSpicyMargaritaDay, Tanteo is donating $1 to their partner charity, Un Salto Con Destino. Using premium tequila in your margaritas is a must! So, I recommend opting for a spirit like Tanteo Tequila. For this recipe, I used Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila which is an ultra-premium tequila, infused with locally sourced fresh jalapeños. Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila is a delicious blend with the perfect amount of heat to spice up your cocktail.
I really love that Tanteo Tequila is sourced sustainably, click here to learn more about their efforts and story. Check out their selection of tequilas here like Tanteo Habanero or Tanteo Chipotle!
First, you’ll prepare a cocktail glass with a spice rim. Add sea salt, chili powder, and minced dill to a shallow dish and stir to combine. Use a lime slice to coat the rim of the glass. Submerge the glass into the spice mix until the rim is coated.
Next, add the Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila, triple sec, pickle juice, agave, lime juice, and ice to a cocktail shaker and shake until chilled. Then, fill your prepared cocktail glass with ice and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass. If desired, garnish with a pickle, jalapeno slices, dill sprig, and lime slice. Cheers!
