Roses & Raspberry Spritzer

Roses & Raspberry Spritzer

The Roses & Raspberry Spritzer recipe post was made in partnership with Bordeaux Wines.  Recipe and ideas are my own.

What are your Valentine’s Day plans? If you’re staying in to celebrate like we are, then I have the perfect cocktail for you to make! The Roses & Raspberry Spritzer which conveniently makes 2 servings, so you can impress that special someone with this libation!

Roses & Raspberry Spritzer

This recipe mixes together a homemade raspberry rose syrup (see below for instructions on how to make this), fresh lemon juice, sparkling lemon water, and the most delicious white wine I’ve had in a long time, the Château Respide-Médeville Blanc 2017!

Roses & Raspberry Spritzer

I’ve partnered with Bordeaux Wines to bring you this special Valentine-themed cocktail. The white wine I used is from the Château Respide-Médeville located in Graves, France, and the varietal is Blanc Sec. This large region is located 30 miles southeast of Bordeaux, France and is known for its red and white wine.

Bordeaux white wines are great for mixing in your cocktails because they tend to be dryer, fresher, with an ever so lightly fragrant finish, that balances well with citrus juices.

The Château Respide-Médeville Blanc 2017 is a special bottle because it’s a white Bordeaux blend consisting of 50% Semillon, 48% Sauvignon, 2% Muscadelle grapes. It’s aromatic and fruity with flavors of lychees, grapefruit, and a spicy element from new wood. On the palate, it’s fresh, lightly fruity, and not too overpowering, so it mixes really well with other ingredients.

How To Make Flower Ice Cubes

Aside from this delicious wine, I love making these rose petal ice cubes! It’s a simple way to take your cocktail to the next level, and they’re easy-to-make too! All you have to do is add your rose petals to an ice cube tray and freeze for 5-6 hours.
