Ingredients for the Pumpkin Spice Cocktail

The Pumpkin Spice Cocktail is all about simplicity. This easy-to-make libation can be mixed together in under 5 minutes, so you have more time to relax and socialize because let’s be honest, planning holiday parties and gatherings can be stressful enough, especially if you’re the one hosting. To keep your cocktail menu simple, whip up the Pumpkin Spice Cocktail quickly. Use these ingredients to create it:

  • Vodka: this liquor is mellow enough to let the other ingredients shine while adding some excitement to this boozy beverage. You can use your favorite vodka. I like Tito’s Vodka.
  • Pumpkin purée: pick up a few cans of this ingredient at your local grocery store and enjoy the earthy notes with hints of spice.
  • Pumpkin pie spice: add a pinch of this spice to create a complex cocktail with intriguing aromas. You can find pumpkin pie spice at your supermarket.
  • Lemon juice: a splash of lemon juice will add some acidity and freshness. Feel free to sub this for a splash of fresh orange juice or blood orange juice if you prefer your cocktail to be a bit sweeter.
  • Cream soda: this ingredient is one of my favorite childhood beverages, the cream soda will provide the sweetness to this multidimensional cocktail. Increase or decrease the amount of cream soda depending upon how sweet you would like your cocktail.
  • Club soda: for a fizzy finish, top this cocktail with a splash of club soda. This will enhance your sipping experience, guaranteed!
  • Rosemary, cinnamon stick, star anise: garnish this delicious cocktail with the following for the final touch on this tasty tipple

How to Make the Pumpkin Spice Cocktail

If you’re needing a cocktail that is delicious and can be put together in just a few minutes, then you’re in the right place. Start by adding the vodka, pumpkin purée, pumpkin pie spice, lemon juice, and cream soda to a cocktail glass and whisk together until everything is blended well.

Next, fill the same cocktail glass with ice. You’ll top it with a splash of club soda. Lastly, add your garnish to the top. For this recipe, I used a rosemary sprig, a cinnamon stick and star anise, but get as creative as you would like and have some fun with the garnish.

I recommend serving this cocktail immediately. The purée may begin to settle, so it would be cute to serve with a stirrer or swizzle stick
