Autumn Honey Apple Cocktail
This Autumn Honey Apple Cocktail recipe post was made in partnership with The Whistler Whiskey. Recipe and ideas are my own.
Do you have a favorite drink to warm up with? When I was younger, my remedy was hot cocoa with extra marshmallows. But now as an adult, there’s nothing better than a whiskey cocktail, and after just one sip of this Autumn Honey Apple Cocktail, I instantly feel the warmth from the honey and whiskey… it’s magical!
For this recipe, I partnered with The Whistler Irish Whiskey. You may remember The Whistler Irish Whiskey from my previous blog posts about the Dirty Chai White Russian and the Vanilla Pear Smash cocktail. I really enjoy this brand because they make high-quality products using only fresh and local ingredients.
The Whistler Irish Honey is part of the Trilogy Collection that features three bold, flavorful whiskey products, crafted from the Boann Distillery in Ireland. They create their specialty spirits in small batches and distill it in copper pot stills using only the finest ingredients. Over a span of years, they mature the Irish whiskey in ex-bourbon barrels. From there, the Irish whiskey is infused with honey that is harvested from their very own orchards! This brings such a unique characteristic to the finished product.
For the Autumn Honey Apple Cocktail, I mixed The Whistler Irish Honey with The Whistler Double Oaked Irish Whiskey and apple butter served with a cinnamon sugar rim for the ultimate Fall cocktail. The Irish Honey has notes of creamy vanilla, honey, caramel, and candied almonds which pair perfectly with the other delicious ingredients. And I highly recommend making homemade apple butter to add because it gives the Autumn Honey Apple Cocktail so much more depth and flavor.
A pro tip is to make this cocktail when you’re low on your apple butter. Just add your whiskey and The Whistler Irish Honey to the bottom of the apple butter jar and shake vigorously to make sure you get all the gooey goodness from the bottom. It is so good, it’s hard to have just one!
The result is a smooth and sweet whiskey-forward cocktail with a burst of honey flavor. For a simple, seasonal cocktail using everyday ingredients paired with a bold tasting spirit, like The Whistler Irish Honey, try the Autumn Honey Apple Cocktail.
