Caramel Apple Mimosa

I’m obsessed with this super simple recipe. We’re hosting Thanksgiving this year, and I’m definitely going to make these along with my Moscow Mule Sangria. I think they’ll be perfect for watching football and the parade!

I love this recipe for hosting because it’s so easy to make multiple drinks at one time. You could also set out the ingredients and let your guests make their own.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Licor 43: This is a Spanish liqueur with a golden hue.
  • Apple juice or apple cider: I recommend using cold-pressed apple juice or fresh apple cider for the most delicious cocktail. I used apple juice from Evolution Fresh. You can also adjust how much you use.
  • Prosecco or other sparkling white wine: I love to use this Mionetto Prosecco for the bubbly base!
  • Caramel sauce: To sweeten up the rim of the glass. Go for a thicker caramel sauce, like this one from Mrs Richardson’s, so it stays in its place.
  • Apple slice: This is your cocktail’s garnish.

About Mimosas

Classically, mimosas are a cocktail made with a mix of sparkling wine (Champagne or prosecco) and fruit juice. You’ll typically find them made with fresh orange juice.

They are known to be light, bubbly, and refreshing. This is what makes them a such a popular brunch and celebration drink. They’re also really easy to customize.

Sipping Tips & FAQs

Chill your ingredients: Make sure the prosecco and apple juice are well-chilled before mixing to keep the drink refreshing.

Prep your garnish: If you’re making a batch of these for a gathering, prep the apple slices and soak them in lemon water. This prevents browning.

Adjust sweetness: If you prefer less sweetness, opt for a drier sparkling wine, minimize the apple juice or reduce the amount of caramel sauce.

How far in advance can I prepare these?
These are best made fresh to keep the bubbles intact. Having said that, you can prepare the apple slices and rimmed glasses ahead of time for quicker assembly.
