How To Upgrade Your Mocktail
Who said mocktails are boring?? Here are some suggestions on how to level up your mocktails.
- Use exciting ingredients: using fun ingredients like rosewater and pink lemonade is an easy way to elevate your mocktail.
- Add a fun garnish: I LOVE adding pretty edible flowers to my mocktails, it really just adds a pop of color. I recommend pansies, violets, roses, chamomile, lavender, hibiscus, or daisies!
- Top with bubbles: Find a way to make your mocktail fizzy and effervescent. I prefer using sparkling water like San Pelligrino or La Croix.
- Rim your mocktail: Add some more color and spice by rimming your mocktail with fresh herbs and spices. I recommend using ingredients like sea salt, sugar, cinnamon, or tajin.

Ingredients for the Blossoming Lemon Mocktail
For an exciting Mothers Day refreshment, give the Blossoming Lemon Mocktail a try! See what exact ingredients I used, so you can recreate it.
- Lemon peel: use a peeler to peel off a piece of the lemon’s skin, and express the lemon peel all over the coupe glass. This will give off a fresh, citrusy aroma and release the citrus oils. For more details on the process of expressing, click here.
- Pink lemonade: add in your favorite brand of pink lemonade. I used Simply Lemonade with Strawberry which can be found at your local grocery store.
- Rosewater: add a few drops of rosewater to add some lightly sweetened floral notes.
- Sparkling water: for a bit of fizz, top this drink with sparkling water. I recommend using brands like San Pelligrino or La Croix. For this mocktail, I used La Croix Key Lime.
- Lemon wheel and edible flowers: garnish your mocktail with a lemon wheel and some edible flowers. I used pansies, violets, and some dried hibiscus petals. Click here for a guide on edible flowers!

How to Make the Blossoming Lemon Mocktail
Enjoy this mocktail in under 3 minutes in just 3 simple steps.
First, peel a piece of the lemon’s skin and express a lemon peel over a coupe glass. Add it to your glass. This will release the citrus aroma and oils. Next, add the pink lemonade, citrus sparkling water, and drops of rosewater to the glass. Gently stir and garnish with a lemon wheel and edible flowers, if desired.
Curious how you can make this into a cocktail? I recommend adding 1-ounce gin or vodka after expressing the lemon peel. Additionally, check out the Blossoming Bee’s Knees, it’s a gin-based cocktail with very similar ingredients.
