Strawberry mimosas recipe in 2 coupe glasses, garnished with strawberries and chamomile

I’m always looking for ways to upgrade a classic mimosa and this Strawberry Mimosas recipe may be my favorite. Made by blending fresh strawberries with orange juice and combining with a sparkling wine of your choice, this recipe is super easy and impressive. This is the perfect drink for spring and summer brunches. Because you build it right in the glass, it’s great for a group and your mimosa bar for a special occasion like Easter, Mother’s Day or a bridal shower.

Recipe Ingredients

See the recipe card for quantities.

  • Bottle of prosecco, Champagne or cava: I always go for prosecco but your favorite sparkling wine will work great.
  • Orange juice: Fresh-squeezed or store bought both work. If using store bought, you’ll want 100% juice.
  • Strawberries: Fresh and ripe. You can substitute for frozen if necessary!
  • Strawberries, Chamomile: Optional garnishes

How to Make This Recipe

Step 1: Remove leaves from strawberries and add to blender. Add orange juice and blend until smooth.

Step 2: When ready to serve, pour the sparkling wine into champagne flutes or coupes, filling about half to 3/4 way full. Pour the strawberry orange juice on top to fill each glass. Add garnishes like strawberries, orange slices or chamomile flowers, if you’re using them.

What’s the Best Alcohol For Mimosas?

I recommend Prosecco or Cava for mimosas. Mimosas can be made with any sparkling white wine but you can generally get a higher quality prosecco or cava for a reasonable price. Champagne tends to be more expensive and you don’t need the most expensive bottle for mimosas since you’re adding juice.

Tips for Making Strawberry Mimosas

  • Make sure to chill your sparkling wine!
  • Customize the mimosas to your taste by adjusting the proportions of sparkling wine to juice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you make non-alcoholic strawberry mimosas?

Yes! Replace sparkling wine with non-alcoholic sparkling wine, sparkling water or sparkling white grape juice.

How many mimosas do you get from 1 bottle of champagne?

A bottle of champagne contains 25.4 fluid oz. Depending on the ratio of of champagne to juice, 1 bottle will make around 5-8 mimosas.

Can you prepare strawberry mimosas in advance?

Prepare strawberry orange in advance and refrigerate until ready to serve. Because mimosas are bubbly, you don’t want to pour the sparkling wine until you’re ready to enjoy.
