Frozen Hot Honey Peach Margarita

Hot honey is here to stay, and I’m getting creative with mixing it into my favorite cocktails. The Frozen Hot Honey Peach Margarita is the ultimate response to soaring temperatures that marries the delightful sweetness of frozen peaches with the bold heat of hot honey. Zesty lime juice balances out the sweetness of this icy cocktail.

When it comes to tequila, quality is key. I used Teremana, but you can use your favorite tequila of choice. Blending this up couldn’t be easier and is perfect for sharing with friends, but you may end up wanting to drink it all yourself! Cheers!

What is Cointreau?

This vibrant orange liqueur, known for its delicate balance of sweet and bitter orange peels, adds a layer of complexity that harmonizes with the other ingredients. Cointreau brings a distinctive brightness to the cocktail, infusing it with a zesty undertone that complements the sweetness of peaches and the warmth of hot honey in the Peach Marg. It is often featured in classic cocktails like the Margarita, Cosmopolitan, and Sidecar, where its citrusy and slightly bitter profile enhances the overall flavor and provides a balanced sweetness.

Ingredients for the Frozen Hot Honey Peach Margarita

  • Frozen peaches: Provide the refreshing base of this cocktail. You can cut up peaches yourself and freeze, or buy pre-cut in the frozen section of your grocery store.
  • Tequila: Choose your favorite tequila. I like a robust one like Termana.
  • Cointreau: You can also use a different orange-flavored liqueur, like Grand Marnier or Triple Sec.
  • Lime: Fresh lime juice adds a touch of zest and tanginess. You can also use bottled lime juice.
  • Hot honey: A spicy-sweet kick that sets this margarita apart. I used Nature Nate’s.
  • Ice: For the perfect icy texture.
  • Tajin: Rim your glass with Tajin for a sprinkle of spice.
  • Lime, peach, mint: Add a slice of lime, peace, and a sprig of mint for an Insta-worthy garnish.

How to Make the Frozen Hot Honey Peach Margarita

While the recipe makes 2-3 servings, don’t be surprised if you find yourself tempted to claim this all for yourself. Add frozen peach slices, tequila, Cointreau, freshly squeezed lime juice, ice, and hot honey to a blender. Blend until smooth. Brush the rim of each cocktail glass with hot honey, then sprinkle with Tajin. Pour the frozen peach margarita into the cocktail glasses. Garnish with lime slice, peach wedge, and a sprig of mint before enjoying immediately!
