The Frozen Aperol Spritz

For a super refreshing boozy beverage, this frozen cocktail is the perfect twist on the classic Aperol Spritz.

I love sipping on Aperol Spritz especially for happy hour and if you’re a fan of spritzes too, then you’re going to want to get your hands on this Frozen Aperol Spritz! It’s an ideal drink for those hot and humid summer days because it’s a burst of bright citrus notes and bubbly Prosecco all blended together in a frozen fusion of deliciousness.

What Kind of Alcohol is Aperol?

If you’re curious about Aperol, I highly recommend giving it a try. This Italian liqueur has a beautiful bright-orange hue and bittersweet taste with a low alcohol content – only 11%. And this liqueur is typically enjoyed as an apĂ©ritif which is typically consumed before a meal or also known as “happy hour!” For this cocktail, Aperol is the shining ingredient!

Ingredients for the Frozen Aperol Spritz

If you’re looking for a refreshment with bright citrus notes and frozen frothy texture, then the Frozen Aperol Spritz is the drink for you. Here are some of the ingredients I used to create this boozy beverage.

  • Aperol: An Italian liqueur that has a reddish orange hue and a bittersweet taste. This liqueur balances well with other citrus notes.
  • Orange juice: a key ingredient in the Frozen Aperol Spritz. Make sure to fully freeze the OJ in an ice cube tray for the best results.
  • Grapefruit juice: Buy this ingredient in store or freshly squeeze it yourself, either way the grapefruit juice adds the perfect amount of tartness to balance with the sweet orange juice.
  • Prosecco: For a crisp, light, and vibrant touch add in your favorite Prosecco. I like La Marca Prosecco or Mionetto Prosecco
  • Ice: No frozen beverage is complete without ice! Blend it up with these ingredients for the perfect slushie texture.
  • Grapefruit, orange slices, and chamomile flowers: Add your final touch to this cocktail with an orange slice, grapefruit slice, and an optional but definitely recommended ingredient, a chamomile flower.

Let’s Talk About Lulus

I created this fun and frozen boozy beverage for Lulus, an online boutique with trendy apparel and P.S ladies, they also have wedding dresses and a whole bridal section! I wanted to create something super refreshing for this brand and since the Aperol Spritz is a crowd-favorite, I knew I could take this up a level by making a Frozen Aperol Spritz!

And this specialty drink is best paired with a cute outfit! Whether you’re heading out for the day or hanging by the pool enjoy this drink for any occasion. If I was getting ready to go out for the day with some girlfriends, I would pair this drink with Lulus’ Light Green Midi Dress and accessorize with these stylish Slide Sandals

Or if I was hanging out by the pool, I would sip this cocktail with the Do Ya Thang Periwinkle Swimsuit Top and Bottom paired with this Woven Straw Tote Bag and these trendy Oversized Beige Sunnies! It’s the best frozen boozy beverage to pair with any summer outfit! Cheers!
