I’m celebrating the longer days with the perfect warm weather sipper – Spring Forward Sangria! This single serve sangria only uses 3 main ingredients – Evan Williams Peach Bourbon, rosé wine and fresh fruit. I used strawberries, peaches and grapefruit and it turned out so good!
Steeped in history and Southern charm, Evan Williams is the original Kentucky bourbon, crafting its signature spirit since 1783. Their dedication to quality and time-honored traditions is evident in every bottle, including the Evan Williams Peach in this Spring Forward Sangria.
This expression takes their classic bourbon and infuses it with the sweetness of ripe Georgia peaches, resulting in a perfectly balanced and smooth spirit.
Spring Forward Sangria is super easy! Start by slicing your fruit into thin slices. Next, adding sliced fruit and Evan Williams Peach to a wine glass. A sturdy stemless wine glass works best since you will be muddling. Use a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon to muddle the fruit and bourbon together to release fruit juices.
Then add ice and rosé wine. Stir gently to combine. Garnish it with a sprig of mint and an edible flower if you’re feeling fancy.
Evan Williams Peach provides the perfect balance of smoothness and sweetness that takes the Spring Forward Sangria to the next level! You could also use another one of Evan Williams Flavors like Honey or Apple. If you are going to use a whiskey that isn’t sweet, I recommend adding sweetness in another way like orange juice, apple juice or even ginger beer.
Opt for a light and crisp rosé wine to maintain the refreshing quality of the sangria. A rosé with hints of red berries or citrus notes can complement the fruity elements beautifully.
Yes! Feel free to experiment with whatever fruit is in season and available. Try apple and orange for the fall. Melon and pineapple would be great in the summer.
Yes! This sangria is easy to prepare and you can easily scale up the recipe and serve it in large pitcher over ice for a group. It’s perfect for spring and summer gatherings.
