Scarlet Cranberry Margarita
This Scarlet Cranberry Margarita recipe post was made in partnership with Risata Wines. Recipe and ideas are my own.
Are you a fan of Margarita Monday? It may be my new favorite day of the week! It consists of starting your Monday happy hour with a refreshing margarita and I have the perfect recipe for you to try, the Scarlet Cranberry Margarita! This cocktail is a fusion of pure cranberry juice, lime juice, fresh orange juice, maple syrup, and tequila shaken together and then topped with Risata Scarlet Red Wine. And don’t forget the sea salt and orange zest rim! This cocktail creates a uniquely refreshing fall-time margarita perfect for any Margarita Monday or holiday gathering.
I love how well these ingredients pair with the Risata Scarlet, a semi-sweet red wine. You may remember Risata Wines from my previous blog posts about the New York Sour Fizz cocktail which features the Risata Raven. But, Risata Wine’s products are so good that I had to try a cocktail with the Risata Scarlet.
This red blend is a mixture of raspberry, cherry, and strawberry notes which mix well with the tart notes from the cranberry and lime, and the sweetness from the maple syrup to make the perfect seasonal sipper! Garnish with cranberries, a sprig of rosemary, and rim the glass with sea salt and orange zest for a festive margarita. One thing to note, I prefer to use cranberry juice instead of cranberry cocktail which can have a lot of sugar and not highlight the other ingredients as well. But, feel free to adjust according to your preference.
Even if you’re not craving a margarita, The Risata Scarlet is a great wine to sip on by itself. The semi-sweet red blend has a berry-forward, sweet taste that works well with savory dinners and rich desserts. Serve slightly chilled for an even better experience.
