Ingredients for the Lychee Guava Mezcal Cocktail

  • Mezcal: This smoky addition balances beautifully with the sweet and tart ingredients. Not sure which mezcal brand to use, but here’s a great guide
  • Lychee syrup: This recipe uses the syrup from a can of lychees for the cocktail and lychees for the garnish. You can use lychee juice as an alternative. I picked up a can from the grocery store or you can order it here online.
  • Guava juice: Pour in your favorite guava juice. I like using Natalie’s Juice Guava Lemonade: made with only guava, lemons, pure cane sugar, and water.
  • Lime juice: A squeeze of fresh lime juice is best for this drink. Lime or bottled lemon juice would also work to add tartness to this drink.
  • Agave: Drizzle in some agave syrup for a hint of sweetness. You can use any brand from your local grocery store.
  • Acid League Peppa Spray: an optional but recommended ingredient to complete this cocktail. You can use the Peppa Spray Aromatic Cocktail Mist from the Ultimate Cocktail Kit by Acid League.
  • Garnish: edible flower, lychees, lime slice: Add an edible flower (which you can get from Gourmet Sweet Botanicals) and a lime slice, and lychee for the perfect garnish.

How to Make the Lychee Guava Mezcal Cocktail

Gather your ingredients and your favorite cocktail glass and start by adding the mezcal, lychee syrup, guava juice, lime juice, agave, and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake until the outside of the cocktail shaker is chilled.

Next, strain the mixture into a cocktail glass over fresh ice. Optionally, top with a spritz of Acid League Peppa Spray. If desired, garnish with lychees, a lime slice, and an edible flower. To finish, garnish the cocktail with your chosen toppings. Try using lychees, a lime slice, and an edible flower for a beautiful presentation that’s as tasty as it is Instagram-worthy.
