Green Tea-riffic Sake Cocktail
The Green Tea-riffic Sake Cocktail recipe post was made in partnership with Tea Council of the USA. Recipe and ideas are my own.
If you run cold like me, you may always be bundling up in sweaters and blankets, especially now that it’s winter. So, when I don’t feel like wearing layer upon layer of clothing then I love making a hot mug of tea to warm myself up with.
And I prefer to drink true teas like green, black, white, or oolong. I usually add a little honey and lemon to my green and oolong tea or add some almond milk and cinnamon to black tea for some extra flavor and an added buzz of caffeine! Plus, using true teas in your cocktails or mocktails is a super easy way to give it more depth.
The Green Tea-riffic Sake Cocktail mixes zesty, citrusy, and lightly sweetened flavors for a soothing and warming cocktail during the winter months. Or if you’re looking for another tea cocktail option, try the Oolong Tea Moonshine Hot Toddy for an amazing winter-time sipper!
Not only are the flavors of tea so much fun to mix with, but tea carries some health benefits as well. By partnering with the Tea Council of the USA I learned so many new facts about tea which only made me enjoy it more. Tea contains no sodium, fat, carbonation, or sugar – it’s virtually calorie-free! It also contains flavonoids, naturally occurring compounds that are believed to have antioxidant properties which are linked to helping combat free radicals in the body. Take a look here for some more information about tea.
And to celebrate National Hot Tea Month, the Tea Council of the USA is providing a lucky winner the opportunity to win $500, a year’s supply of tea, and a self-care prize pack!
