Have you ever tried a Gold Rush cocktail? It’s a classic drink made with whiskey, honey, and lemon juice! I decided to add my own twist by making a ginger turmeric simple syrup, which not only imparts flavor, but adds beautiful color!

Many Pot of Gold recipes call for two different types of whiskey. I decided to do the same, but included The Whistler’s Double Oaked and Irish Honey Whiskey! The hint of vanilla and light oak pairs perfectly with the aroma of fresh honeycomb – truly a match made in heaven!

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Strainer


  • 1 ½ oz The Whistler Double Oaked Irish Whiskey
  • ¾ oz The Whistler Irish Honey Whiskey
  • ½ oz ginger turmeric simple syrup
  • ¾ oz lemon juice
  • 1 egg white
  • edible gold flakes (for garnish)


  • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and dry shake (no ice).
  • Add ice and shake until chilled.
  • Strain into a glass over ice. Garnish with edible gold flakes if you’re feeling festive!
