The Hot Honey Peach Mint Julep is the ultimate cocktail for Derby Day celebrations! At the core of this drink is Evan Williams Peach bourbon, known for its smooth profile that perfectly complements the bold flavors of hot honey and fresh mint.
Combine 1 teaspoon of hot honey with 1 teaspoon of hot water to make the hot honey syrup. Adding hot honey to the traditional mint julep recipe kicks up the heat and keeps each sip refreshing and invigorating!
Start by creating a honey syrup by combining hot honey and hot water in a small glass. Stir until fully dissolved.
In a julep cup or glass, add fresh mint leaves, followed by the prepared honey syrup. Gently muddle the mint leaves with the back of a spoon to release their oils and flavors.
Next, pour Evan Williams Peach bourbon over the muddled mint leaves and honey syrup, then fill the cup with crushed ice. Stir the ingredients together until well chilled.
Top the cocktail with additional crushed ice, then garnish with a sprig of mint and a slice of fresh peach to add a touch of Derby Day elegance. Cheers!
