Blackberry Ginger Sour

They say not to mess with a classic but I couldn’t help but add blackberries and ginger to my whiskey sour.

Blackberry Ginger Sour
1 cocktail

  • 3 blackberries
  • 1/2 oz ginger honey simple sytup
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 2 oz whiskey
  • 1 egg white

Muddle blackberries and ginger honey simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add remaining ingredients and shake for 20 seconds. Add ice and shake until the cocktail shaker is chilled on the outside. Double strain into a glass with ice.

Honey Ginger Simple Syrup

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup minced fresh ginger

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes. Strain into a jar. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
