What’s Best Alcohol to Add to a Blackberry Crush?

A “Crush” cocktail is open to interpretation and can really get your creativity flowing. What makes this type of cocktail unique is the method of “crushing” or in this case, muddling an ingredient (typically fruit) to better release the fresh flavors and fuse it with other spirits or ingredients.

For the Blackberry Crush recipe, I knew a premium gin like Empress 1908 Gin was citrus-forward with botanical notes, so I wanted to make sure that ingredient really stood out while still tasting the other ingredients like the blackberries or honey. It mixes incredibly well with the muddled blackberries for a subtle tart but refreshing taste.
