Basil Julep
This Basil Julep recipe post was made in partnership with The Whistler Whiskey. Recipe and ideas are my own.
St. Paddy’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays, especially when I was back in school. Back then it involved lots of green beer, but I prefer to take things at a different pace these days. This year I’ll be celebrating with a fun riff on a Mint Julep: the Basil Julep!

This easy cocktail is made with The Whistler Whiskey’s Double Oaked Irish Whiskey, which is aged in Oloroso sherry barrels. This gives it a really full bodied and oaky taste! Perfect for a simple cocktail with only 2 other ingredients: fresh basil, and simple syrup!
And if you aren’t already, definitely follow me on Instagram and Facebook, to make sure you never miss a recipe, get tons of behind the scenes pics of everything I’m shaking up, shooting and enjoying!
