This Tequila Painkiller is a rosy-hued cocktail ideal for a holiday girls’ night or a tropical-themed Christmas party! Coconut, blood orange, pineapple, and nutmeg blend perfectly with the rich, burnt caramel flavor in the Lobos 1707 Reposado Tequila.
1 1/2ozReposado tequilaI used Lobos 1707 Reposado Tequila
3/4ozBlood orange juice
2ozPineapple juice
1ozCream of coconut
Freshly grated nutmeg
Shredded coconutfor rim
Blood orange slicefor garnish
Mint sprigfor garnish
Cranberriesfor garnish
Instructions
Add shredded coconut to a shallow dish. Moisten the rim of a cocktail glass. Submerge in the coconut until the rim is coated.
Add tequila, blood orange juice, pineapple juice, cream of coconut and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously until chilled.
Strain cocktail into the prepared glass with fresh ice. Top with freshly grated nutmeg. If desired, garnish with a blood orange slice, mint sprig and cranberries.
