Best Clamato Michelada (With a Pickle Twist)
This Clamato Michelada is a savory beer cocktail with a tangy pickle twist. Made with Mexican lager, Clamato, lime juice and a punch of pickle juice, it’s ready in just 5 minutes and so good. It’s perfect for hot days, game days, or anytime you’re craving a refreshing drink with serious flavor.

- 1 12-oz bottle Mexican beer, chilled (such as Corona, Modelo or Pacifico)
- 3-4 oz Clamato or tomato juice
- 1 oz pickle juice
- 1/2 oz lime juice
- Dash soy sauce
- Hot sauce optional to taste
- Pickle for garnish
- Tajín for rim
Instructions
- Prepare the bottle - Before opening the beer, run a lime wedge around the neck of the bottle. Sprinkle with Tajín until coated.
- Carefully open the bottle and take a few sips (about 1/3 of the beer) to make room.
- Add Clamato, pickle juice, lime juice, and soy sauce to the bottle. Add hot sauce, if using. Gently tilt to once or twice to combine
- If desired, garnish with a pickle.
Notes
- Chill everything first to keep the drink crisp and refreshing.
- Micheladas are so personal! Tweak the quantity of clamato, salt and spice as you like.
- Make it alcohol-free with your favorite non-alcoholic beer.
