These pear margaritas are a cozy fall twist on the classic cocktail, made with tequila, amaretto, pear juice, fresh lime juice, and a touch of maple syrup. They’re perfectly balanced, easy to shake up in just 5 minutes, and make a beautiful Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving cocktail.
To a cocktail shaker, add tequila, amaretto, pear juice, lime juice, maple syrup, sea salt and ice. Shake until well chilled.
Strain into a cocktail glass over fresh ice. If desired, garnish with a pear slice, dehydrated lemon and sage leaves.
Notes
I recommend 100% pear juice: This gives a clean, fresh pear flavor without unnecessary added sweetness.
Use pure maple syrup: I would try to avoid pancake syrup for better quality taste.
Batch ahead of time: Prepare up to 24 hours in advance by multiplying the ingredients and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Shake before serving or serve in a pitcher over ice.
Make it a mocktail: Swap the tequila with coconut water or chilled tea and add a dash of almond extract instead of amaretto for a non-alcoholic alternative. Make sure to adjust the lime, pear juice and maple syrup to taste!
