I may not be able to enjoy some of my favorite libations while I’m pregnant, but I still get to mix them up for my husband, Travis, and he’s rated this recipe a 10 out of 10. He keeps asking me when I’ll make it again, so the Peach Limoncello Bourbon Sour is on the menu for him this Father’s Day!
A Bourbon or Whiskey Sour is traditionally made with a warming whiskey or bright bourbon, fresh citrus juice, simple syrup, and it’s optional to add an egg white for texture. For this recipe, I opted out because I didn’t want to take away from the other amazing ingredients. To elevate your Whiskey Sour add in a quality bourbon, a refreshing limoncello, organic maple syrup, and fresh peach to give this classic cocktail a major summer upgrade!
See what 5 ingredients I used to mix together the Peach Limoncello Bourbon Sour.
To make the Peach Limoncello Bourbon Sour, start by adding peach chunks to a cocktail shaker and muddle until broken down. Side note: I used a peach that was riper because it was easier to muddle and it was sweeter which balanced well with the bourbon and lemon juice.
Next, add your preferred brand of bourbon, limoncello, lemon juice, maple syrup, and ice to your cocktail shaker. Shake until the outside is chilled.
Then, strain the cocktail mixture into a cocktail glass over fresh ice. If desired, garnish with peach slices and a sage sprig. Enjoy!
