Berry Hibiscus Smash Cocktail

The Berry Hibiscus Smash is made with brown sugar hibiscus syrup made with C&H® Light Brown Sugar. It is mixed with vodka, strawberries, lime and topped with club soda, for a refreshing summer drink.

For the Brown Sugar Hibiscus Syrup

  • ½ cup C&H® Light Brown Sugar
  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ cup dried hibiscus flowers

For the Berry Hibiscus Smash Cocktail

  • 2 Strawberries
  • ¾ oz Brown Sugar Hibiscus Syrup
  • ¾ oz lime juice
  • oz vodka
  • 2 oz club soda
  • Optional: Strawberries, lime wheel, hibiscus flower for garnish


For the Brown Sugar Hibiscus Syrup

  • Add C&H® Light Brown Sugar and water to a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally until the brown sugar has dissolved.
  • Remove from heat, add dried hibiscus flowers and steep for 15 minutes. Cool completely. Strain into an airtight container, discarding hibiscus flowers.

For the Berry Hibiscus Smash Cocktail

  • Add strawberries and 3/4 oz of the Brown Sugar Hibiscus Syrup to a cocktail glass. Muddle until the strawberries are broken down.
  • Add vodka and lime juice to the cocktail glass and stir. Fill the glass with ice.
  • Fill the glass with club soda. If desired, garnish with strawberry and lime slices and hibiscus flowers.
