Materials

For the Strawberry Southside Fizz Mocktail

  • 1 strawberry plus more for garnish
  • 6 mint leaves plus more for garnish
  • ¾ oz juniper syrup see recipe and ingredients below
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • ¼ oz lemon juice
  • 2 oz citrus sparkling water
  • Edible flower, mint sprig, strawberry for garnish

For the Juniper Syrup

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp crushed dried juniper berries

Instructions

Strawberry Southside Fizz Mocktail

  • Add strawberry, mint leaves and juniper syrup to a glass and gently muddle.
  • Add lime and lemon juice and stir.
  • Fill the glass with crushed ice and top with citrus sparkling water. Garnish with strawberry, mint sprig and an edible flower. Stir before enjoying.

For the Juniper Syrup

  • Add all ingredients to a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.
  • Remove from heat and cool. Use a fine mesh strainer to strain liquid into a jar, discarding berries. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
