Mulberry Street Sour

Mulberry Street Sour

This Mulberry Street Sour recipe post was made in partnership with Amaro Lucano. Recipe and ideas are my own.

If you’ve been following me for a bit, you probably know that Travis and I decided to get married in Italy and spent a month exploring before and after the ceremony. It was totally one of the best trips in my life, and I constantly think back to it for inspiration in regards to food, drink, and how to live life in general.

Although Italy is known for their wine, I had some pretty incredible cocktails while we were there. Because I was feeling a little nostalgic the other day, I decided to hunt down some Amaro Lucano, an Italian herbal liqueur.

I love Amaro Lucano because it has very sophisticated flavors. There’s actually more than 30 different herbs packed in one bottle! Some of them are more recognizable – like cinnamon and elderberry – where others are more adventurous.

To highlight the delicious flavors in this liqueur, I decided to make my own version of a New Your Sour! If you haven’t heard of this drink, it’s basically a whiskey sour with a red wine floater on top. Whiskey and wine – truly the best of both worlds!

Hope you enjoy this cocktail. It’s so pretty and aesthetically pleasing with a punch of flavor!
