When I was a kid, I had a minor obsession with caramel apples. Every time Fall came around, I got excited that it was finally time to indulge in my favorite dessert whenever I wanted it. I became a bit of a caramel apple connoisseur, if you can imagine – in my opinion, the best ones had the thick and sticky caramel that got stuck to your teeth with every bite, and a nice crisp apple underneath.
These days I can still appreciate a caramel apple, but sometimes I like my dessert to be liquid, if you know what I mean 😉 So in honor of my favorite childhood dessert, I present to you the Caramel Apple Spritz!
This cocktail is a delicious balance of Prosecco, ginger beer, and Kinky Beverages green liqueur, which is infused with flavors of green apple and pear! The result is a tasty and seasonal beverage that’ll stop the show at any get together.
To give this caramel apple spritz a fun little twist, I decided to serve it in a hollowed out apple that’s been dipped in caramel and rolled in cinnamon sugar! When you’re done with your drink, you can crunch in and enjoy a few bites of apple. I used Granny Smith apples because I love how tart they are, but you can use any type of apple you’d like!
